Our Mission
Rescues R Super is an educational and community-focused platform dedicated to helping pets and people find the right fit.
Through pet profiles, breed comparisons, care guides, rescue interviews, and community partnerships, we help people make informed decisions while supporting the organizations working every day to give animals a second chance.
Our goal is simple: help more pets find and keep great homes—and help the people and organizations making that possible gain the visibility and support they deserve.
Why This Exists
I’ve always loved animals. My early advocacy interests focused on wildlife and environmental causes, and over the years I’ve produced documentaries and promotional content for conservation and nonprofit organizations.
Everything changed when I rescued a feral mama cat and her kittens. The experience introduced me to the dedicated volunteers working behind the scenes to save animals every day.
That experience inspired Rescues R Super—a platform designed to make rescue stories easier to discover, educational resources easier to access, and community support easier to build.

About the Creator
Rescues R Super is the pet project (pun intended) of Kamala and Lovie.
Lovie is one of many “super rescues” who inspired this platform and a proud graduate of Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation, now Joybound.
Kamala is a journalist, USC School of Cinematic Arts graduate, award-winning documentary filmmaker, and member of the Producers Guild of America. Over the past 20 years, she has created written and video content for nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations throughout the SF Bay Area.
The Bigger Vision
Rescues R Super is being built as more than a blog or resource site.
Over time, we plan to expand beyond articles into visual storytelling, community events, and interactive experiences that make learning, sharing, and giving back more engaging.
Because rescue pets aren’t “less than.” They’re resilient, quirky, unforgettable—and often the very best members of the family.
